"Transparent Squares" an original concept
of artist Victor Horvath
Every artist has a trademark style that sets him apart
from other painters of every movement. Taking inspiration from the works
of various masters, both classical and contemporary, Victor Horvath creates
a unique approach to capturing the essence of the Caribbean through a
technique he calls "Transparent Squares".
The technique uses near transparent squares as a foil in
the background of some of his more popular acrylic originals, which are
also printed in lithograph form. This creates the effect of viewing the
works beyond their three-dimensional boundaries. These
"Transparencies" add dimensions, depth and color by lending
the viewer a visual instrument from which to extend the imagination
beyond space and time within the frame, and bring color further than
what one's eyes can see.
